The initiative was announced by Mayor David Almeida and the president of United Earth, Marcus Nobel, a descendant of the creator of the Nobel Prize. The award, promoted by United Earth and LCTM Brandbuilders, will recognize the best of Manaus, the Amazon, and Brazil in the areas of Art, Music, and ESG (socio-environmental responsibility and governance) initiatives.
The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, and the president of United Earth, Marcus Nobel, a descendant of the creator of the Nobel Prize, launched, this Monday (24), in Manaus, the United Earth Amazônia Award, as part of the celebrations of the 353rd anniversary of the city. The Award aims to globally promote the best of Manaus, the Amazon, and Brazil in the segments of Art, Music, and ESG (socio-environmental responsibility and governance) initiatives, with proven relevance and effectiveness in supporting the sustainability of the forest and its inhabitants.
The United Earth Amazônia Award involves two institutions: United Earth and LCTM BrandBuilders, and has among the sponsors the company Tellescom, a group with a complete ecosystem, integrating manufacturing, R&D, logistics, software, services, innovative solutions for digital transformation, and socio-environmental projects. The idea is to make the United Earth Amazônia Award a reference, just like the Nobel Prize, to make the population aware of changing habits and attitudes to contribute to the preservation of the Planet.
Manaus will host the premiere of this unprecedented award, chosen for being the ‘Capital of the Amazon’ symbol for all whose purpose is the cause of conservation and the populations that sustain themselves with the product of the forest without degenerating it. The organizers intend to hold an annual ceremony in Brazil, in Manaus, and from next year, to take the initiative to other cities in the world so that it becomes a global award with characteristics of each location.

United Earth Amazon
The United Earth Amazônia Award will be an annual event with the mission to promote globally the best of Brazil and the Amazon in Art and Music as a unifying language of purpose and ESG (socio-environmental responsibility and governance) initiatives with proven relevance and effectiveness in support for the Sustainability of the Forest and its Inhabitants. The main objective is to make the population aware of the importance of sustainability for the well-being of humanity.

Award winning selection
The award in the Art and Music categories will be chosen by its public contribution to awareness, unifying power, and relevance around the cause of socio-environmental sustainability. The ESG awards will be selected through a study with Amazonian communities, identifying projects that have proven to be relevant for the forest conservation, its resources and biodiversity, and the health, well-being, and subsistence of its inhabitants.
Award
United Earth Amazônia Award winners will receive a trophy in the shape of a sphere with six sides related to the values of United Earth, each one representing man with his arms, connecting with fauna, flora, air, water, natural resources, and with all humanity, integrated and intertwined in a single piece. For this first edition, the award ceremony scheduled for March 27, 2023, will take place at Teatro Amazonas in the city center.
