Today is a very important day for me and for the United Earth! I feel honored and blessed to be involved with this great project.
My belief that music –which is unique in the Arts and Humanities–has the power to change the world by uniting people, is now coming to fruition in 2023 in Manaus Brazil with the launch of the inaugural UNITED EARTH AMAZONIA AWARD to Brazilian singers and songwriters Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos.
For decades, Roberto Carlos, and his lifelong artistic partner Erasmo Carlos (in memoriam), who together wrote and recorded the song Amazonia, have had significant contribution to bring awareness about the importance of preserving our planet!
Roberto Carlos, who has sold 131 million albums will be the first and most honored laureate to receive the inaugural “United Earth Amazonia Award” that will take place on February 28, 2023 in the city of Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon.
