Peace Day Celebration at Nobel Peace Park with Marcus Nobel

Marcus Nobel President of United Earth at the Nobel Peace Park in Eugene Oregon during Peace Day Celebration Sept. 25, 2022

I had the great honor and privilege to be a guest speaker at the Peace Day Celebration, Sunday Sept. 25 at the Nobel Peace Park in Eugene Oregon. It is the only Peace Park celebrating American Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in all of America.

The festival took place on a beautiful, hot and sunny autumn day in Eugene Oregon. Mr. John Attig created the Nobel Peace Laureates organization to honor and inspire a new generation of peacemakers. With the help of Roger Durant and my father Claes Nobel, and many others,  the Nobel Peace Park was envisioned and created. There is a small plaque to commemorate this event, now celebrating 18 years of peace.

Building Cultures and Communities of Peace

Peace is not a science…Peace is an art.  So, when Alfred Nobel created the Nobel Prizes, he recognized that Peace is a humanitarian and spiritual endeavor.  That the Peace prize was a counter balance to the “hard sciences” of Physics, Medicine and Chemistry.

This Peace Celebration was an inspiring festival full of music, face painting, food, dancers and music that brought people together and helped to build community and cultural events that celebrate peace.

Cultural Celebrations bring people and communities together.
