Environmentalists proved how difficult it is to find a simple solution to America’s addiction to bottled water and plastic bags at a session at the Aspen Environment Forum Wednesday.
The session — titled “Rethinking Plastic: Design, Reuse and Recycling” — addressed the environmental impact of single-use plastics, like plastic bags and bottles, and who should be held accountable.
The panelists agreed that suppliers and consumers need to move away from considering single-use plastics as “garbage” and start looking at them as resources that can be reused.
