Catherine Shomper’s footwear was a bit unconventional last week for working in a muddy patch of ground that has become the Fort Zumwalt East High School garden.
“I wear heels a lot,” said the environmental science teacher — a point noticed on Friday by students and onlookers.
Heels do have an advantage — they make good holes for planting.
