Caring for the environment does not belong to any one political party — despite what much of the media tells us. The fate of humanity and the earth are inexorably intertwined and what unites us is much greater than what seperates us. However, politics — by it’s very nature — will always divide. The purpose of including politics into the discussion of Earth Ethics is to bring a level of civility and non-sectarian discourse about the environment into our political systems and social interactions.
